Born In 1943, I Am Now A Retired Law Enforcement
Officer Whose Career Began in 1966.
In addition to attaining the rank of Sergeant with the MAPLE PLAIN (Minnesota) POLICE DEPARTMENT (now WEST HENNEPIN DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY), I joined the HENNEPIN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE (Minnesota's Largest Sheriff's Office) in October 1969 as a Senior Deputy Sheriff and attained the rank of Sergeant in both the RADIO/COMMUNICATIONS DIVISION as well as in the WARRANT/FUGITIVE DIVISION.
While continuously maintaining a valid MINNESOTA POLICE OFFICER STANDARDS & TRAINING BOARD (P.O.S.T.) License until it's expiration in 1997, I retired from the Sheriff's Office in September 1984. I am also a former EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN (E.M.T.) and a UNITED STATES AIR FORCE FIRE PROTECTION SPECIALIST.
In 2012, I was elected to a four year term on the HAMBURG (Minnesota) CITY COUNCIL, I currently host THREE Websites as well as a regularly scheduled hour long, five times a week Internet Show and a series of Internet Programs that primarily feature current & retired Law Enforcement and other Public Safety Officials. On Monday May 12, 2024, after experiencing the poor manner in which the ‘normal channels’ of your company were responding; I took the extraordinary measure of sending a letter to you expressing our great dissatisfaction as the result of new, but unfinished; underground service being installed in our home last fall and what needed to be done to ‘wrap up’ the ‘project’.
On Friday May 16th, I received a response from Xcel Energy from Customer Advocate Analyst, Janelle Prince along with a ‘Claim Form’ that I was asked to complete and return with any ‘supporting’ documentation, pictures, estimates and the like. That ‘claim form’ and supporting pictures, documents, etc., were returned to Xcel Energy THAT SAME DAY !! (It is worth noting that the communication accompanying the ‘Claim Form’ I received stated the ‘it could take up to ninety days’ for my ‘claim’ to be settled.”
Because that requested information was sent via Priority Mail, I was able to determine that it was received by your company on Monday, May 19th. On Wednesday May 21, I was contacted by Damion Wickhem, the Manager of CLEAR SCAPE OUTDOOR SERVICES. Mr. Wickhem stated that Xcel Energy ‘contracts’ with his company to do ground and property ‘restorations’ when and where necessary; and wanted to make an ‘on-site’ inspection of what we needed restored as the result of the new underground electrical service being installed.
Mr. Wickhem came out Thursday, May 22 at 11AM, saw what needed to be done, his ‘crew’ arrived the next morning; Friday, May 23 and by EVERYTHING WAS RESTORED FAR BEYOND OUR EXPECTATIONS by 3:30PM FRIDAY AFTERNOON !!

is currently a St. Cloud resident who was born in Chisago City, MN. He previously lived in Minneapolis and moved to a hobby turned dairy farm in Winona. His family has deep roots in Stillwater and today, several of his relatives still make the "birthplace of Minnesota" their home. Jeff is a life long learner and recently achieved a "bucket list" item that he has dreamed about since farming in high school...obtaining his Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) to drive the big rigs. In 2021, Jeff took a break from teaching and took a driving job hauling pharmaceuticals to keep drug stores, clinics, and hospitals stocked with life saving drugs. He was affectionately called “a drug runner” but the good news is that the operation he was involved in
was entirely legal and necessary. Afterwards, he drove a milk semi truck in central Minnesota. Jeff is equally comfortable and experienced working with both blue and white collar workers, An effective office holder MUST be student-like who is open to continuous learning from We The People in order to understand the issues and provide real world solutions.
